I know Ray, and it feels good to break through (e.g. when I won the bodonkey back in the day). My main problem with MTTs these days is though, that I just can't break through and with the exception of the occasional blogger-MTT I've quit playing MTTs. Why?

I guess it has numerous reasons for me:

1. Because the promising first place money is cool and all (although rather small compared to the "real big" MTTs), but it's out of reach more often than not...

2. There's no "next one" right away - as it is in the blogger MTTs, there is usual a next one (the next day, the next week), but not right away.

3. As a (turbo) SnG player I crave action, so if I don't cash in one, it's not that big a deal because firstly I play at least 4 at once and secondly there's always the next one, right away...

To make a long story short: I was just ultra-pissed this morning after playing "flawless" for two and a half hours just to run into a bs hand...again. Now, after a good mornings sleep ;-) I can see a little bit clearer: There was no way around that hand. No matter how I play it, the money is going in. Why? Because less than 10BB forces me to push and even if I don't raise preflop (riggs raises with the Kings for sure, which might have been the standard raise) and can call a standard-raise, I'm still pushing on the flop with TPTK+nut-flush-draw...

On another note: In times and hands like these it's easy to forget one thing: For everytime that someone get's "lucky" (and I use that term lightly as it's luck to get a monster vs. a slightly worse monster) someone has got to get "unlucky". It just sucks if you're the "unlucky one"...

Alrighty...enough mumbling...off to get some stuff done in the real world :-) Oh, and thanks for hosting Ray!

that's just tournament poker my friend.

tournament poker can best be described as banging your head against the wall then, one time you break thru just to do it over again.
