The comeback trail is long…

…dusty, and full of setbacks. After my recent run at the tables, I’ve decided to drop down a notch in an effort to rebuild the near extinct mess that used to be a bankroll. Back to my favourite poison from back in the day, I tried to grind it out at some 6max SnGs over the last week or so. Poker playing time has been sparse, but I’ve managed to squeeze in a quick 1k hands here and there. Four tabling 6 max SnGs let’s you do this easily. I didn’t even bother to take screenshots tonight, the ones below are from last week where I still cared if I got beat or not, if a big draw came in or not (the latter was mostly the case)…tonight I just focused on my game, playing one hand at a time and trying to make quality decisions.

I can honestly say that I can’t find a weak spot in my decision making tonight…well, maybe in one or two spots where folding a few more hands on the bubble would have been an option, but really, why should I even think about folding a hand with 12-16+ outs twice when I’m playing to win? Basically it all came down to hitting/missing draws and winning/losing coinflips tonight. Hit some draws, hit some coinflips…lost most of them though and so it’s really hard to make it. Playing three sets of 4 SnGs I finished [3,2,2,2] [1,5,5,2] and [5,3,3,4]…tough…but what can I do…I’m pleased with my performance tonight despite dropping a few bucks to the grinder-pool…oh well…better flipping/drawing next time…
