Argh! Played a little S&G (1+0.10) and went out in 4th (of 6)…looked down at A-A and raised to All-In preflop…K-Q called and once again I lost to a draw…board: 8-9-K-J-10… 🙁
Nothing much going on on Stars either…I just can’t seem to catch a hand, keep my focus or “read” my opponents or a combination of the above…marginal finishes in the 1$ S&Gs (23rd, 35th of 45)…back to the drawing board…
Nothing going my way yesterday or today…can’t believe how unlucky I get sometimes, like in the 1$ S&G (6 players) I get Q-Q and push just to be re-raised all-in, I call and show the Hilton Sisters…just to look down at the Cowboys (K-K), argh!, out in 6th place…
Then I decide to play a little bit heads up (2$) and get both A-A and K-K twice…but to no avail as the opponent doesn’t respond and is sitting out (both times I had A-A) and is folding (both times I had K-K)…nothing major going on for a while then I push and he calls and get’s lucky on the river…out in 2nd place…
Enough Titan for a while…
After coming back from footie practice I felt like playing another little tournament, so I entered a 5$ + 0.50$ fee S&G – 9 players, top 3 pay, 1st: 22,50$, 2nd: 13,50$, 3rd: 9,00$.
I played a little tighter than usual and was able to survive some crucial early hands (A-9 vs K-3, board: 7-2-10-5-Q; 7-7 vs 10-K, board: 4-Q-8-5-3). After 5 players busted out it was time for the bubble and believe it or not: this time I made it…sometimes you need to be a little bit lucky I guess…caught the hilton sisters (Q-Q) and raised All-In from the button, the player after me called and showed his Cowboys (K-K), eek! I didn’t only survive though, I busted him out and doubled up when the board came up: A-Q-2-9-3….We’re in the money….couldn’t catch all that many hands, bluffed some pots though and won some minor pots (mostly holding an Ace and pushing a little), and was chip leader for a while (8k)…couldn’t survive though as I was pushed out of many hands…in the end I lost when I pushed all in with A-Q, one caller showing 9-9…board didn’t help either side and I was out in 3rd position…would have loved to at least finish second, but hey…better a 3rd and 9$ than nothing 😉
PokerStars Tournament #15296677, No Limit Hold’em
Buy-In: $5.00/$0.50
9 players
Total Prize Pool: $45.00
Tournament started – 2005/11/18 – 19:25:44 (ET)Dear Ingoal,
You finished the tournament in 3rd place.
A $9.00 award has been credited to your Real Money account.Congratulations!
Thank you for participating.
Played one S&G earlier today and how stupid can you be…finished in 3rd of 6 (top 2 pay)…shouldn’t have pushed when it was bubble time…but hey…you live and learn… 🙁
Played a bigger S&G (2$ + 0.20$) with 20 players, top 5 in the money…finished 14th on a coin-flip…I guess I should rest my Titan account for a few days…not much going my way these days over there…
Played two freerolls again…couldn’t catch anything in the first one and finished in 1128th (of 1676), held my own in the second one, although it’s not a good idea to play if you’re under time pressure – I had to bust out to catch an appointment although I was running not all that bad (around 6k in chips when 4.xk was the current average 🙁 )…finished in 1067th (of 2500)…
Not in the mood for much Poker today, so I just played 3 little freerolls early this morning (04:15am/05:15am/06:15am ET) and I was truely amazed at how many people from the US are playing at such early hours (1334/1502/1438)…couldn’t get much going for me either and finished nowhere near the prizes (807th/307th/839th)…
Played a little S&G to finish my poker day, finished 6 of 6 when my Kc-Qc didn’t catch and the caller won the hand with high card Ace (A-K)…
*lol*
This might have been the quickest tournament ever! I played a Freeroll for 500B$ over at UltimateBet and looked down at A-A in the second hand. I limped in and the flop was: 8-9-2, everyone checks, I move All-In…one caller…holding 8-8. Turn and River were blank so I’m out in 2336th (of 2500). Way to go 🙁
Decided not to head over to PokerStars, but play a little on TitanPoker. To start things off I played a little heads up match for a dollar, on the third hand my A-Q survived against K-Q and the match was over.
After that I played another S&G this time a $2+0.20 one sitting 20 players…busted out in 14th place when neither my Jc-Qc not my opponents K-3 improved on the board. Argh!
Enough online gambling for the night…off to the XBox and a round of WSOP 😉
