After 2h 51m I’m out in 13th place…once again sooo close to the final table that I could smell the money…I can’t blame myself…I won’t fold AK to a half my stack sized all-in from LP…he flips over 88…and sure enough it holds up…two hands later I look down at a suited Ace (A8c)…not a major hand…but as it’s folded around to me I decide to give it a go…BB finds his BB special AK…nice…IGHN…

ITM is nice and all, but after playing good poker for nearly 3hours it’s hard to go home with nothing more than measly 4$ profit…damn! I lost three hands in the whole damn thing, AKs vs 33, AKo vs 88 and A8 vs AK, can’t do anything about the last one…but is it really to much to ask for that your opponent holding horse crap pairs doesn’t flop a set all the time? Ah whatever…it’s poker…so I’ll stop whining now…good night…

First of all: it seems that Pokerstars is finally running the 4$ 180 SnGs around the clock, at least for now:

Played two of them today – did well in the first try and busted out on some suckout that I have blocked from my memory to finish in 47th place. The second one was at least as painful, but at least the suckout came early…AQo vs Q5o…Q5 hit two pair…and IGHN…after two hands…nice…NOT.

Played some more SnGs over at Full Tilt (3rd, 5th, 6th) and one at UltimateBet (1st)…so overall I’m not all that disappointed, but the first Stars 180 still hurts…it’s always tough if you’ve been playing for almost 2h just to bust out on a donkey hand…ah well…off to recharge…damn and now I missed the WWdN by a few minutes…hmm…I see that Wil is already out (65th of 65…ouch)…alrighty…gl to the rest…I’m off to catch some sleep….

After last night’s big party I idled away most of the day, so nothing spectacular to report. After drinking quite a bit I didn’t feel like playing for an extended amount of time, so I just played one donkey SnG on Stars (busted out 14th of 18 – a quick tilt attack after losing half my stack to an “A2o is gold”-donkey did the job, busted out in the very next hand pushing with second pair) and two on FullTilt (one 1st, one 6th)…

Sidenote: We created a devilish drink for our party and I had quite a few of them – “Pangalaktischer Gartenjaeger” (in german the pangalactic gargle blaster (errm…Douglas Adams…hitchhiker’s guide….hello?!) is called Pangalaktischer Donnergurgler, so that’s where that name came from: after all the party is the grand opening of the open air party season and held in a huge garden)…the “secret recipe”:

Take a shot glass (4cl) either made of plastic (good for outdoor parties) or a chilled glass, mix (just pour them in the order depicted below) the following ingredients:

• 1-1.5cl of Vodka
• 1-1.5cl of Jaegermeister
• 1-1.5cl of self-made liqueur (we used self-made blackberry liqueur, mmmmm…)
• 0.5-1cl of RedBull (or a cheap imitation 😉 )

…and there you go…a shot that will go down your throat like it’s nothing…but beware…drink a few and you’ll feel it’s effect later on (depending on your tolerance for alcohol…)
