Not much poker today…just a little razz cashgame action…up one buyin in the first session, exactly even for the second one. Finished 16th in the four-card-bingo session by the name of Saturdays with Dr.Pauly…not a bad day…

…god, now I know why I hate PLO so much. Played in Saturdays with Dr. Pauly and managed to run better hand into bs hand again and again, had my aces cracked twice, the second time finally crippled me…the KKxx monster was just too much for AAxx…oh well…cya next week or something…fucking PLO!

Joy and no joy…

…still fighting with the flu, so no extensive sessions or anything. I managed to sneak in two brogger tourneys though. Saturdays with Dr. Pauly (PLO) and the bodonkey tonight.

SwDP is mostly a blurr, but it’s really been fun. I made the final table. Finished ITM. Not bad. Tonight in the bondonkey I was on a good run too. Didn’t pick up many hands, some small pps early on. Still managed to run my stack up to 5k with some good calls. In the end, the usual crap happened. Just before the second break we’re down to 20. I sit on 4.6k in chips (plus minus a few). I look down a KK in the BB. The first big pair all night. Sure enough and LP player (cutoff or button, I can’t remember) pops it to 900 (150/300 blinds)…nothing much to do here. Either call and push if no ace hits or push right away. I opted for the latter option. Result: get instacalled by AKo, see one of the fifteen aces in the deck hit the flop and cya. I guess the first option would have been better in this spot, but honestly, that’s only looking at the way the board came down…no way I’m not pushing here…so, for the second time in as many tries I exited from the bodonkey with waaaay the best hand….really disappointing, especially given the crazy starting time….but oh well…I guess I’ll have to live with that…. πŸ˜₯ ….still stings like a mother though πŸ‘Ώ

In all honesty, I have never ever seen a session like the one today. NEVER. This is ridiculous. How can I have ppl all in drawing to one-six outs thrice and lose all of those pots? How can I have twenty outs+ twice and still lose to a two-outer, twice (Top two pair + good low draw + straight and flush draw; just to see my opponent hitting a two outer J/7 to make trips over my two pair with no low). Are you fucking kidding me? God damn it. I’ve never been so tilted…so I guess I better logout now before I break my laptop and uninstall PokerStars…so sick…

god damn it

Take the pic above…the dude is running “super hot” (courtesy of sharkscope) and I felt it. First I get him down to 450 as he’s chasing longshots all the time. Then I double him up on a cooler (Q-high flush vs K-high flush), then we get it in again as I draw to twenty outs…I miss twice…surprise…he’s slightly ahead…this time we get it in on the turn…he’s drawing to one deuce, three treys and two fours…so the whole six outs again (or add one six, four sevens and eights and four aces for half the pot) and yes he hit the good old one-outer quads…why can’t a god damn 9-K come up there and I scoop…so sick…I’m out before I break something…

Edit: Chasing losses is fun…ran into one of the most annoying ppl on PokerStars ever. He sits down at my HU razz table and he clearly plays in over his head. He plays the whooping amount of 3 SnGs and is taking the full time on EVERY decision. I get slightly annoyed and tell him to stop wasting ppl’s time, if he can’t handle three tables he should stick to two or one…what a moron. But guess what, he coolers me in two consecutive big pots (he’s behind till sixth street, catches the miracle on seventh, surprise surprise). After that one I almost exploded, took a little stroll and went back to the table and knocked down some donks. 2/2 in PLO8 and 3/4 in NL HE. At least I got some of the money back…but still down for the night….oh well…I’ll take it…insane how unlucky you can get in the short run…but oh well…back soon, hopefully with a better run…

Just a little session tonight again…PLO8…won 5 out of 7…NL Hold’em 1 of 2…PLO 0 of 1…so overall a good session…favourite hand of the night…runner runner quads against me…loved the turn…hated the river…

runner runner quads good

…off to the bad news: I forgot that we have our first booth party of the season (my footie/soccer team parties like there is no tomorrow in the dressing rooms of our club house)…so I guess I will be hammered by the time the Rebuy Donkfest (TM) is about to start, so I might not be able to go for the three-peat after all….pause for celebration of my esteemed opponents πŸ˜‰ ….oh well…maybe I’ll make it back in time to play it in drunken donkpush-tastic mode…we’ll see…

King of Rebuy Donks (TM) is my official title for the night. After a brutal session of PLO(8) at Stars, where boat over boat and stuff was the norm, I played Kat‘s rebuy madness tonight, after missing it last week for the first time in ages. After nothing much going on early, I was able to chip up in the middle stages and just when I thought I was golden, I got kicked in the junk. I hold TT on the button and I’ve folded hand after hand after hand. It’s IG’s BB and I pop it, she repops and I insta-push. Now, I see that not all players might pay attention to “small details” at all times, but how can you instacall with 77 there. Now, I usually don’t comment on people’s play like that, but that hand really put me down. Alright, 77, a pair, but even if I was making a move with two face cards or something, you’re probably only on a flip. But oh well, 7 on the flop and I’m down to 4k.

I push a few hands later with KQ and get called by K8…my hand holds up. A few hands later I push again with TT and get called again…Jx…Jack on the flop and I’m ready to pack it up for the night, but no…runner runner straight….wheeeeee. At that point fluxer was the overwhelming chipleader, while the other four (including me) were fighting over the remaining chips. He really put on a clinic on how to play big stack poker. I went on a little rush and knocked out player after player after player and once we were down to headsup I was slightly less than a 4:1 chip-dog. That all changed once the first cooler came down (TP for fluxer….trips for me on a paired board). I gave the chips back a few hands later with the same thing (me TP…trips for fluxer)…then the crucial hand came down…JJ vs KQs…I flop the set and it holds up and I’m 4:1. Way to go…I won it a few hands later and reclaimed my seat a top the donkey rebuy world. Sweet….big shout out to fluxer who really deserved to win and he probably would have if the flip had gone the other way…but that’s the way it goes…let me just do a random pic dump before I finally go to sleep…make sure you scroll a little as the hands are pretty sick…especially the one with a flopped royal flush, got any percentages for that?!

Cash game fish…

…are even worse than SnG fish, if you lose to them, you usually lose more than you normally would in a SnG. Well, I played a little .5/1 Razz tonight and it was brutal. People were trying so hard to give away their money (capping it on 5th street two cards behind (double paired)) and catching every god friggin time while I bricked up. So sick. After I dropped my buyin, I was so mad that I really thought hard about quitting for the night.

In the end, I didn’t. I fired up some SnGs (ranging anywhere from 5 to 20$) in both NL and PLO and I did pretty good (won 4 out of 5), although some of the fish got so lucky that I was almost incomprehensible (AQ vs A3…board 3xAx3, etc etc). I didn’t let it get to me though and crushed all but one of them in the long run. So…after three hours of poker I finish the session down 0.05$, lol, not all that bad after dropping almost 30$ in Razz and SnG-juice…

Donkmaha-tastic

Well, well…today was the official donkmaha errm Omaha day. Played some headsup matches in PLO both on Stars and Tilt and despite hitting some quads and what not (not getting payed off because the deck is crippled), my opponents managed to felt me each and every time. 4 matches, 4 big Ls. Beautiful. Money goes in on the flop or turn every time and they’re in “very good” shape every single time: 2outs, 4outs, 6outs, 4outs….against my made hands (two pair or better, usually with at least 6 redraw outs)…but oh well…I guess they were praying in front of the donk mahal or something…

Word of the week

Presented by (pot)limit games united, the word of the week:

Ridonkulous – to start out with a clearly inferior starting hand, preferrably board-locked when playing any form of stud, and hitting perfect cards to pull out an unlikely win.

That’s what happened for the most part today, people so eager to chase as if there was no tomorrow. Oh well…didn’t bug me too much though as I knew I would eventually catch them…and that’s exactly what happened in 3 out of five matches. Too bad donks, luck can only get you soooo far.

Headsup stats of the day:

NL: 0/1

PLO8: 1/2

PLO: 1/1

Razz 1/1
