WBCOOP 2007
Finished in 670th place. After starting at a nice starting table including RoccoBoxer, Tripjax and G-Rob I was moved before the first break, but not before dropping the first hammer against Rocco…gotta love it when you fire and fire and finally your opponent folds to your 3k bet on the turn…lol. I managed to pull out a monster-suckout JT vs KK to really get myself into a good position. Stole some pots and flopped some sets to be above average…then two things happened….I overplayed Ax while my opponent thought it was a good idea to call a preflop raise with QJo…when all was said and done he rivered three queens and I was busto…oh well…at least I had fun…ty Stars for hosting…

High blinds = fugly
Well, well, just a little session to cool things off today. Played the unlucky 7 HU matches, NL Hold’em. Won three of them, lost four. Nothing spectacular to report, just the obvious observation that high blinds are pretty fugly, well, not in general, but if you’re holding 4-high in three consecutive hands, followed by a nice 93o followed by a T4o…just to push with QT in the next hand (no point in limpin with 5BB left)…you flop the all around draw against your opponents ace rag…so 8 outs for the straight, 6 outs for the two live cards and nada…oh well…happens…I’m outta here….
Playing when mentally exhausted no g00t
…then again, it probably wouldn’t have been any different if I was totally up to par. Why? I managed to run AK into the powerful T6o, all-in preflop…nice call for your whole stack sir (and he wasn’t short)…I then went ahead and ran AK into KK, QQ into AA and some other nice hands, JJ into K9, etc etc…
So Hold’em totally lost…0 for 3…at least I managed to crusher a donk at PLO8…still down for the night, but I’m too tired to continue now…off to catch some sleep…
Still in nirvana
I don’t know if my view is so blurred or if it’s really just a weird spell of cards I’m encountering, but it sure still feels weird to play as it’s just like the next cooler and/or bs is just the next deal away. Managed to run KK into the monster JJ…sure enough the two outer hits. Returned the favour by cracking aces with queens. The difference. He min-raise preflop OOP and played the trapping game after the flop came Q high, good for me as I bet him into oblivion until he finally pushed into the nuts on the river.
Apart from that some other really weird hands and lots of coolers (most of whom I just saw, and I’ll spare you the screenshots as they’re the usual 4:1 preflop = 0% once the board is up). Take this one hand three-handed. I’m in the BB…button raise to 3x. SB calls…I call with K8. Flop comes down QJT. Not the worst flop three-handed. SB checks, I check. Button fires a big bet. SB raises all-in. What to do…fold. Button calls. Both show JT for bottom two pair. Turn 9. I curse and before I even get into “bs mode” the case Jack hits the river giving them both a boat. Nice hands. Good that I folded. *lol*. So sick. A few hands later the next cooler style. I’m in the BB again and look down at A4. Button pushes. SB calls. What to do what to do. I fold. Button shows AQ. SB shows AK. Board xx4x4. So sick. Still took down the headsup match, but still…makes you wonder…
All in all I managed to pull one W out of four six-handed SnGs and one W out of one NL HU match. So slightly up for the night, but still not back in the groove…not one bit to be exact. Oh well…
Still running awesome…
…well, not really. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s me getting a little impatient, or maybe it’s just that I don’t have a clue what the hell is going on. One thing’s for sure though, I’m still running awesome. Today was officially AX is no g00t day. AJ vs 55…flops quads on my ass…presto obv gold there…AK vs TT…flops trips on me…AJ vs 88…well you know the drill….flops trips…99 vs 22…flops trips on me…etc etc…I quit as soon as I won the first flip of the night…22 vs AK…quack quack motherfuckers…and I’m outta here…up for the night…less than a buck…oh wheeee….how good it feels to run that good and still finish up, a little, but I’ll take it after rake…I’m outta here…for real…
You know you’re running g00t…
…if you get kicked in the junk over and over and over and over again. That’s pretty much what happened tonight…I won’t exclude some nice hands of mine (quad Kings, etc), but I won’t show any screenshots as I was too tilted in those moments. Tilted holding the likes of quad kings? Yeah, pretty much sucks if you hold the chiplead and push it in good to very good (e.g. AK vs AQ) and lose, yet again to a fucking three outer, the hand before you get another monster…then you get no action on your quads etc…pretty tough to keep a cool head there…
At least I’ve seen a royal flush again…three handed…nice cooler…at least I was smart enough to stay out of that hand…

So I quit the night loser, again… and I don’t like it one bit…so fugly…apropos fugly…random fugly pic dump for your “enjoyment”…

I’m outta here…
The making of a fugly session
Log on to Stars, play NL HE headsup and lose, lose, lose, win, lose. No matter if you put your money in 50/50, 60/40, 80/20…lose lose lose…

Next stop, FullTilt, Friday night blogger rebuy donkament. Play like crap…get lucky twice sucking out back-to-back straights, once with the hammer, which was obv g00t. After that catch no break whatsoever. Push in with Ax vs KX four times, win exactly 0. Push in with KX vs Ax and win exactly 0. Fitting enough that one of the above was my exit after Island rivered a ten on me (JT vs my QJ)…that was basically the end right there…I guess I should have pushed on the flop, but the way I was running tonight one of my opponents would have had the ace, no doubt 😉
Random fugly pic dump…:

The only good when it comes to poker was that my question about chosing the hammer for his “donkey bomber outfit” was asked on anteup episode 119…big shoutout to Scott and Chris, keep up the good work! I’m outta here…
NL HE to save the day
Just a little session again, not that much time for poker these days, but oh well, what are you going to do? I ran into a pretty “good” player in PLO8, he managed to hit a lucky river 5 times on me in 4 matches….4 of those were really big pots and I sat in disbelieve how he could hit again. But oh well…what can you do, nothing much. At least I managed to crush some donks in NL HE going 3-1…so slightly up for the night and I’m outta here….
Treading water
Not much time for poker today, just played three PLO8 SnGs…two at the lower level and one at my usual level, yes, I was still a little freaked out about the horror session, that’s why I started a level lower. I won the first two and felt really comfortable, so I moved up. I lost that match. Pretty sick too…it was up and down up and down until he quartered me twice, once when a case card hit and once where I thought I had the lock on the low…but guess what…just because you hold 334x on a A27XX board doesn’t mean that headsup these days…sure enough he has A734…so sick…but oh well…finished the session exactly even…better than a big phat L.
In other news, I took the time today to watch a little WCOOP Event #5 final table action as three german players where on it. In the end it came down to a guy from denmark and fellow german Sebastian “luckbox” Ruthenberg (who finished third in the EPT Dortmund last year)…the whole headsup match was really sick. Luckbox had him all-in on four to five different occasions (twice with the best of it)…and the guy just wouldn’t bust…in the end the table was turned and all too fittingly it all came down to a flip…33 vs KhQh…flop 3xx with two hearts…after all it’s never easy…no heart though and luckbox takes second place after playing OVER 20h…that’s pretty sick right there…
I’m out…
